• Merry Christmas

Well Christmas is almost upon us and seems to have crept up on us this year as we are so preoccupied with the house build. It feels a little bit like an inconvenience to be honest as work will grind to a halt for the next couple of weeks and we have so much still to do. But I'm sure we could all do with a break as everyone has been working so hard.

The kitchen was fitted on Thursday 20th December and I am absolutely thrilled with it. It's wonderful quality and was fitted in a day due to the fact that the units were built and delivered already made. I would have no hesitation in recommending Murdoch Troon Interiors and the price was less than the quotes I had from the flat pack kitchen big boys!

We have started painting downstairs which makes it look much more like a house. The log burner was lit for the first time yesterday and the underfloor heating went on so we can try and dry out the screed ready for the flooring to be laid in January.

The bricklayer still has a little to finish, plasterboarding is complete upstairs and the underfloor heating is being laid in the bedrooms and bathrooms. It's all coming together nicely!

Merry Christmas one and all! We are looking forward to a better 2013 and to opening our farm to visitors. Very exciting!!
