• Day 3

It's wet. Really wet. So wet I'm worried the house might sink. Not really. But you get the picture!

The build continues despite the weather. I feel really sorry for the builders, so have made them a cake! The roof struts are going on. This time next week we should be water tight!

The cills have been sorted - the manufacturer is fastracking some colour samples to us and we will pick the correct colour by Monday morning and they have assured us they will get them to us by the end of next week, which will be a miracle seeing as we had to wait so long for the wrong ones!

The windows are growing on me. A bit.

The ponies are still sulking. I managed to tempt them with a handful of hay and a little food. The girls in the next paddock were going beserk trying to get to it and I hoped this would encourage the boys but they are still reluctant. I have laid a bed for them in the barn, left them food, filled a hay net and even pulled some through the holes to make it easier for them. I am such a softy. They looked so bedraggled, as do the poor alpacas. Even the dog got back in the car!
