• Astonbury 2012

After a really wet start to the day we were unsure whether to bother going to Astonbury, the village's annual open air concert. But the sun came out at about 5pm so we made the decision to go. It was a bit of a faff getting there as we needed two cars, I can't drive at the moment and Amy's car was in the garage, but after a bit of tooing and froing we arrived. We set up a little gazebo and settled down with chairs and drinks and nibbles to enjoy the entertainment. The stage was very professional as was the local talent that performed. James and the kids enjoyed playing frisby and a collie dog who was keenly watching joined in, after which they had no chance as he was much quicker at catching it than they were! We had a good boogy and when the dark drew in we lit candles and toasted marsmallows. A really enjoyable evening and we're looking forward to returning next year with a crowd!

I think we're going to enjoy village life!
