Alpaca Walks

  • We walk in any weather (unless forecast is REALLY windy AND wet in which case we will contact you ) so please come dressed accordingly
  • The farm is on flat ground with stony paths so sturdy shoes/wellies are recommended. You will be asked to walk over a disinfectant mat so waterproof shoes are a good idea
  • The walk is not suitable for puschairs or wheelchairs
  • In summer months, hats/sun cream/insect repellant is advised
  • In winter, wrap up warmly as it's a few degrees colder here and bring a change of shoes for after the walk (before you enter the cafe)
  • Sorry, no spectators and no dogs.
  • Please say at the start of the walk if you aren't happy for your photograph to be taken and used on our website/facebook page

    • PLEASE DON'T ARRIVE more than 15 mintues prior to your slot.

      • Once booked you may rearrange your visit up to 7 days before your scheduled walk date. After this time, no cancellations or refunds are accepted, unless we can refill your place on the walk.

A walk with a difference!

Join us for a walk around our private farm with some of our wonderful alpacas. We will share interesting stories and facts with you about our animals along the way - they all have a story and they all have a personality! The walk is usually a slow and gentle stroll around our on farm "alpaca track" and will last approximately 45 minutes. Your visit will also include a tour of the farm to meet our rare sheep, pygmy goats and our female alpacas with any cria (babies) so you should allow 2-2:30hrs for your visit. Homemade cakes and refreshments (or mulled wine and mince pies for winter walks) in our cafe barn are included before or after your walk, depending on the time of day.

We have a small gift shop with items made from our own alpacas including knitted items, needlefelting kits, knitting kits, alpaca mugs, alpaca toys, as well as Jo's Alpaca Story books and Story Sacks.

Walks run on Saturdays (and some Fridays) at 11am and 2pm from March to September.
Winter walks are at 1:30pm from October to March (between clock changes).
